Score-O-Matic

For those of us who used the internet to follow the worlds this summer in Hawaii, there was constant disapppointment with resepect to the posting of scores. The site updates were grossly delayed and too often inaccurate. By contrast, the UPA's this October in Sarasota Florida posted scores by the minute, by taking advantage of the programming talents of NC State's Jesse Overby, and the efforts of many volunteers.

The 2002 UPA's scoring posting accomplishments are significant. With the exception of actually attending a tournament, it's hard to get the fix a fan of ultimate needs. Just ask anyone who followed the DOG Furious semi in Sarasota and you'll know the Score-O-Matic provided entertainment. But how else do...(more to come)
